Prayer (and spending time in God's Word)
Thanks for your reply Carl. Prayer and reading God's word I find to be about the best thing I can do to regain a helpful perspective and relax in the knowledge that these present circumstances are temporary. What are additional ways you maintain balance and manage your stress?
I have started to meditate on my lunch. Taking a second each day to focus on my breathing and disappearing into my mind has helped remove daily stressors.
Hey Jessi, thanks for sharing that with us. I find just being present and pausing to take some deep breaths frequently throughout the day can make such a huge difference in feeling more peace and calm. Yay for you for being mindful to do this.
Meditation is also such a great way to reduce stress. Keep it up ! Your sharing may be the inspiration someone else needs today!!!
I have been doing some deep breathing when I first wake up and when I am about to go to bed, its been working really well. :)
Hey Katelin, what is the biggest difference you notice from taking the time to breathe like this?
I've found myself pretty stressed out on a family visit. So while I was there my niece and I took a mile walk; afterwards I could tell a difference!
